Experience the classics with The Cleveland Orchestra, this Friday evening.

The Cleveland Orchestra presents Strauss & Mozart this Friday Jan 18 from 8 – 10 p.m. at Severance Hall (11001 Euclid Avenue Cleveland).

This program will feature two rarely heard works for small ensembles, showcasing different sections of the orchestra — one for strings and one for winds, and complementing the Orchestra’s performances of Richard Strauss’s opera Ariadne auf Naxos.

Featured Works:

MOZART – Divertimento in B-flat major, K287 (for two horns and strings)

RICHARD STRAUSS – Sonatina No. 2 (for winds)

Free concert preview (with purchase of concert ticket) “Divine Mozart and Grateful Homage” will take place at 7 p.m. in Reinberger Chamber Hall at Severance Hall, with speaker Rose Breckenridge, lecturer and administrator of Cleveland Orchestra Study Groups.

Tickets start at just $31 and can be purchased online at https://www.clevelandorchestra.com/1819-concerts-pdps/1819-tco-classical-series-concerts/week-12b/.
