Anita Baker takes the stage at Playhouse Square (1501 Euclid Ave Cleveland) this Friday Nov 16 at 8 p.m. and Saturday Nov 17 at 8 p.m.

Regarded as one of the most popular vocalists of soulful romantic ballads, Baker played an integral role in helping launch the quiet storm period of contemporary R&B in the 80’s. Baker’s career spans over three decades and includes eight Grammy awards, four American Music awards, seven Soul Train awards, a B.E.T. Lifetime achievement award, seven platinum albums, and six world tours. Baker’s stylistic influence is still prevalent in the music industry to this day.
